The Haj pilgrims visit Makkah and Madinah in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the duration of the complete tour stretches to 40-45 days. Ministry of Minority Affairs is vested with the responsibility of making overall arrangement for Haj and its supervision. Haj Committee of lndia (HCol) a statutory body of Ministry of Minority Affairs, with assistance of State Haj Committees (SHC) make arrangements for pilgrims in India. Consul General of India, Jeddah (CGI) makes arrangements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ministry of Health arranges the vaccines. Ministry of Civil Aviation arranges air transportation of pilgrims.
